   We at LC Ranch are a small  farm  nestled in the North Western corner of Pennsylvania, (Union City, PA).  Our goal is to  breed an  easy care Katahdin Hair  sheep that is structurally correct and sheds clean.  We select for  ​a ewe that can keep condition  well on pasture, has great mothering instincts, weans twins consistently, doesn't need constant deworming, and has good growth & muscling. Over the years we have been privileged to obtain some quality Katahdin rams from several well established Katahdin Sheep breeders. These rams have all helped to shape our flock into what we now have.

     After several years of selection and utilizing the data we receive from NSIP it is rewarding to see the progress we can see and measure.  Progress visible not only in the visual eye appeal of the improved muscling and carcass quality of our Katahdin lambs but also how our bottom line is affected by the improved weight gain.  We can also see increased survivability due to parasite resistance.
